The plaintiff is an Israeli-Arab recruited by the Israeli security forces to work as an agent in Jenin.
Sherakiya left Jenin and moved to Jerusalem with his wife and five children.
From time to time he took his wife to visit family in Jenin, making sure to stay outside the city, within Israeli territory. During one of these visits, Palestinian security forces attacked Sherakiya. They shot his legs, cuffed his hands and feet, and kidnapped him into Jenin, were they locked him in a house. Over the course of 7 months, Sherakiya was interrogated about his work with Israel and brutally tortured by PA officers. He was liberated by the IDF during operation Defensive Shield and is suing for damages.
