On June 5, 2002, members of the Islamic Jihad, a terror organization whose stated purpose is the destruction of Israel, carried out an attack on a public bus that killed ten Israeli men and women.
The terrorists attacked an Egged bus by driving up alongside the bus in a car full of explosives, which were then detonated. As a result of the terror attack, 17 people were killed and dozens were injured. The families of the victims are suing for damages.
