Bring Terrorists to Justice
Holding terrorists responsible for their actions is chiefly thought to be the responsibility of the government—through covert military operations and diplomatic exchanges. But this is not to say that ordinary citizens are helpless in this fight. Often, pressure from outside the government is needed in order to ensure terrorists cannot act with impunity.One of Shurat HaDin’s central activities has been to challenge terrorists in courts throughout the world. We have exhorted the Israeli government to act against Hamas operatives; engaged in legal battles to ensure that terrorists are either indicted or extradited; and have pressured other states to properly act against terrorists located within their borders.

High Court Rejected Emergency Petition to Block Release of Flotilla Detainees
Shurat HaDin - Israel Law Center brought an emergency petition in Israel's High Court of Justice, demanding that the State's Attorney be barred from releasing the foreign nationals who had been arrested aboard the Turkish ship, Mavi Marmara, instead of bringing them to trial. Information had surfaced in Israel that the militants on the boat had ties to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.Read more...
Actions to Expel Hamas Leaders from Jerusalem
In 2006 The Israeli Ministry of the Interior ordered four senior Hamas leaders who had been living in Jerusalem to be expelled from the country. The four members of the Islamic terrorist organization, had been elected as Hamas representatives to the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC). Israel gave them 30 days to either resign from the PLC or be deported. Predictably, the terrorists, scampered off to petition Israel's High Court to appeal the deportation orders.Read more...
High Court Petitions to Extradite Abu Abbas
Shurat HaDin - Israel Law Center has filed a petition in the High Court of Justice in Jerusalem which seeks to compel the extradition of Palestinian terrorist mastermind Mohammed Abu-Abbas to Israel. The court papers demand that Attorney General Elyakim Rubinstein request that Abbas be returned to Israel to stand trial for several terror attacks he has perpetrated in recent years.Read more...
Demanding Barghouti's Indictment for Crimes Against Humanity
A petition has been filed in Israel's High Court of Justice in Jerusalem today by Shurat HaDin - Israel Law Center. The petitioners, Alan and Revital Bauer and Avner and Pnina Franklin, are demanding that Palestinian terrorist leader Marwan Barghouti be indicted for "crimes against humanity." Israel is prosecuting Barghouti on 26 counts of murder and related charges but has refused to indict him on this more serious count, although there is clear evidence to support the charge.Read more...

Teror victims widows brought a petition in the High Court of Justice in Jerusalem against Attorney General demanding that Israel file an extradition request for the Palestinian terrorists who murdered their husbands.Read more...
