Tel Aviv-based group threatens Australian professors over Israel boycott

June 13, 2013: A Tel Aviv-based civil rights group warned Australian supporters of a proposed boycott against Israel on Thursday that their activities were racist, and in violation of Australian Federal anti-discrimination laws. Recently, faculty and students at Sydney University called for the severing of links with Israeli institutions.

April 10, 2013: The Tel Aviv-based civil rights group Shurat HaDin – Israel Law Center has written the Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association – College Retirement Equities Fund (TIAA-CREF) today to inform them that the adoption of a resolution boycotting Israeli firms and investments would be in direct violation of New York and Federal law.

March 4, 2013: Shurat HaDin has written to the European Union Council (EU) President, Herman Van Rompuy, and EU Foreign Policy, Chief Catherine Ashton, demanding that the EU designate Hezbollah as a terrorist organization. As it stands today, the EU refuse to proscribe the Shi'ite terrorist organization and place it on its blacklist of terrorist groups. In Germany alone, one of Hezbollah's European strongholds, the Iranian backed terror group has over one thousand members.
